La Danta Salvaje is home to some of the most beautiful waterfalls & swimming holes in Costa Rica. Our most majestic waterfall, Catarata La Danta, is credited as one of Costa Rica's tallest waterfalls at ~400 feet & eventually flows into the Rio Corinto which borders Braulio Carrillo National Park. Our hikes take us to the top of this giant waterfall where multiple beautiful, secluded swimming holes await. Several of our swimming holes can be found at the base of waterfalls where we spent lots of time climbing, swimming, playing, & relaxing! One of our favorite secluded waterfalls is right near the lodge (two minute descending hike) which offers a beautiful spot for meditation or relaxing with a good book. There is a swimming hole a quick 30-minute hike from the lodge that we recommend for guests looking for a day of less-intense hiking that still includes beautiful scenery with a rewarding swim.
